Volunteers Needed for Finishing Touches

Helpers once again picked up paint brushes in hopes of getting closer to completion. Entry to the 2,300 square-foot playground is free, but when will the Legacy Play Village be ready? Laura Hopkins says it is up to you.

"We will just keep working until we are done and we hope that it will be done by the first of the year. If we could get a lot of volunteers out, we could get it done in no time at all," said Laura Hopkins, Project Coordinator.

Volunteers are needed for painting, staining, and other ground work. If you would like to help, volunteers are meeting from noon to five next Sunday and every Sunday after until the project is complete. The Play Village is located at McCalister Park off of Spur 327 and Brownfield Highway, right across from Texas Water Rampage.
