LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Snow and much colder conditions are likely late Thursday night through Friday.
A strong cold front will arrive Thursday night, bringing very cold north winds. Precipitation will likely begin as rain late Thursday night then change to a rain-snow mix before becoming all snow. At this time it appears snow accumulations of two to four inches will be possible for our northern communities, from near Friona to Silverton. Amounts of one to three inches appear possible from Muleshoe to Plainview. While one to two inches of snow may fall in the Lubbock area, little accumulation is expected on area roadways through Friday afternoon.
This is a developing situation and the track and strength of the storm may vary from the present forecast, changing the type and amount of precipitation, amounts, and winds and temperatures in the area.
