Lubbock Police search for burglary/assault suspects

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The search is on for a group of men accused of breaking into a west Lubbock home and sexually assaulting the woman inside. The victim, who's in her early 20's, called Lubbock Police around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.

She told them three men broke into her home in the 200 Block of Homestead Avenue. She says they ransacked her home, and then two of them forced her to disrobe and assaulted her. "What we have so far is indication that in fact, the particular residence, this address was targeted by the suspects," Lubbock Police Captain Greg Stevens said.

Police have a limited description of the suspects. All are black males. The first is 22-23 years old, 5'11.  The second is also 22 to 23 years old, 5'10".  The victim didn't get a good look at the third suspect. She says they were dressed in black with their faces covered.

The suspects fled the scene. Investigators say they're not sure exactly what, if anything was taken. If you know anything that can help authorities identify these suspects, call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000. You could be eligible for a $5,000 reward.
