Injured motorcyclist in critical, but stable condition

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock motorcyclist remained in critical, but stable condition Wednesday night, following Tuesday's crash at 4th Street and Slide Road. Lubbock Police tell NewsChannel 11 that Chas William Nash, 29 was riding a Honda motorcycle eastbound on 4th Street 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Samantha Silva, 17 was driving her Pontiac Grand Am westbound. Authorities say Silva turned into the path of the motorcycle. Investigators say Silva told them the sun blinded her, and she didn't see Nash and turned in front of him. Police cited Silva for failure to yield the right of way.
