Cooper student organizes charity walk

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A school assignment - to do something you've never done before - has turned into a fundraiser to help fight muscular dystrophy.

We learned during HealthWise at 5 Wednesday, that Taylor Hurst from Cooper High School has organized a 2-mile walk this Saturday to raise money for the local chapter of MDA.

The cost is $5 and all proceeds will stay here to help local MD patients. Just meet at the Cooper High School track at 10 a.m. Saturday.
