Lubbock Farmers' Insurance Holders Get a Break

Farmers Insurance will be renewing homeowners insurance policies for another 30 days. However, the insurance battle continues, but for now Farmers has reached an interim deal with state officials on the eve of its scheduled pullout.

Farmers Insurance has agreed to renew homeowner policies for another 30 days as negotiations continue. Lubbock agency manager Jim White says this is an important move. "So, it takes the pressure off of those policy holders maybe feeling the concern of not finding any coverage we will renew those policies that we're set up for non renewal through November 11th to the 10th of December," says White.

White says Farmers Insurance covers about 15,000 homeowners in Lubbock.
