Tech students continue to work on Greek Build project

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Texas Tech students are working to build a new home for a local family in need. Habitat for Humanity partnered with Tech fraternities and sororities for a project called Greek Build. It started Thursday afternoon, and they hope to finish the house by the end of the weekend.

"It feels great, I mean I love working anyway, and to know that it's going to such a good cause is just, there's just nothing more rewarding," said volunteer Zach Bennett. By the time the walls are up and the paint is dry nearly 500 students will contribute to the project. The new owner will receive the keys to their home Monday evening at 6:30.

This guide attempts to cover everything an informed consumer should know about commonly recycled materials, in plain no-nonsense terms. Special attention is given to materials that are poorly understood or hard to recycle, like motor oil and rechargeable batteries.
