LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Nearly 500 Tech students contributed to the Habitat for Humanity project this weekend. The students worked to build a new home for a local family in need.
Habitat for Humanity partnered with Tech fraternities and sororities for a project called Greek Build. It started Thursday afternoon, and they finished on Sunday.
"It feels great, I mean I love working anyway, and to know that it's going to such a good cause is just, there's just nothing more rewarding," said volunteer Zach Bennett.
The new owner will receive the keys to their home today at 6:30 p.m.
