LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - We have great news for the kids - the city will hold Easter egg hunts city-wide next weekend.
The events will be held Saturday, April 4th, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Free photos with the Easter Bunny start at 10 a.m. and then the hunts begin at 11 a.m. at the following locations:
- Hodges Community Center in Clapp Park - 41st Street and University Avenue
- Copper Rawlings Community Center and Park - 213 40th Street
- Mae Simmons Community Center and Park - East 23rd Street and Oak Avenue
- Maggie Trejo Supercenter in Rodgers Park - 3200 Amherst Street
- Kastman Park - Joliet Avenue and South Loop 289
- McAlister Park - Milwaukee Avenue and Sharp Freeway
In case of inclement weather, two alternate dates have been designated:
- Alternate 1: Sunday, April 5 -- 3:00 p.m. Photos, 4:00 p.m. Hunts Begin
- Alternate 2: Saturday, April 11 -- 10:00 a.m. Photos, 11:00 a.m. Hunts Begin
The Covenant Women's and Children's Hospital, along with Lubbock Power & Light are sponsoring the event.
