Jones Says West Texas is Losing a Voice

As chair of the House Agriculture Committee, Combest was a powerful voice for farmers, and specifically West Texas farmers. State Representative Delwin Jones says West Texas is about to lose that. "The chairman is a very essential seat and we're going to lose that from this immediate area, you can't get elected to be chairman the same year, unfortunately."

However, Jones says Republicans will keep the chairmanship because they have the majority in the U.S. house.
