Speed is factor in deadly rollover overnight

LUBBOCK, TEXAS (KCBD) - Officials with the Department of Public Safety says speed is likely a factor in a deadly accident in South Lubbock County overnight.

A Chevrolet Corvette was discovered after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, inside the gates of South Plains Truck Equipment on Woodrow Road, just west of the Tahoka Highway. The driver, now identified as Donald L. Mickens Jr., 40, was thrown from the vehicle as it rolled several times. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
