LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Delta Air Lines took to the sky today from Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport.
Two daily non-stop flights to Memphis International Airport started this morning at 6:05 a.m. with another flight leaving at 4:10 p.m. and returning flights at 3:45 p.m. and 9:36 p.m.
Four years ago, Delta pulled its operation from Lubbock because of a major restructuring decision that pulled all of its jets from Dallas-Fort Worth International, which in turn took with it regional service provider Atlantic Southeast Airlines Inc. from Lubbock.
In addition to Delta, Memphis International is serviced by American Airlines, AirTran, Continental Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways.
