Sales tax revenue in Lubbock is up from previous year

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - There is some good news for Lubbock despite the national economy; sales tax revenue is up from this time last year.

In April of 2008, the sale tax payment was a little more than $3.3 million. Now in April of 2009, the payment is nearly $3.6 million. That is up 8.79 percent and Sales tax is up 4.23 percent for the year.
