LUBBOCK, TEXAS (KCBD) - Motorists traveling on northbound I-27 this week will see traffic shifted over to the right outside lane as the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) continues work on a project to upgrade the storm-water pump station at North Loop 289.
Beginning Tuesday, the two northbound left lanes and left shoulder of I-27 at North Loop 289 will be closed to traffic as crews continue work to replace the existing drainage pipe located under the roadway. The project has required traffic to be reduced to one northbound lane since January.
The project is scheduled to be completed by summer 2009.
