LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Christian pitcher R.L. Eisenbach and USAO shortstop Kevin Carby are Sooner Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week for April 6-12.
Eisenbach tossed a complete-game, one-hit shutout against SAC foe Mid-America Christian University in game-one of their doubleheader on Friday. He struck out seven and walked one in the 10-0 victory. He earned his ninth win of the season and ranks fourth in the NAIA in wins. Eisenbach also ranks fourth in hits allowed per nine innings (5.4) and fifth in strikeouts per nine innings (12.6) and opponents batting average (.170). The honor is the first received by an LCU pitcher this season.
Carby, a senior from Tulsa, Okla., hit .389, slugged .944 and had 14 RBI in four games. He also had seven runs, a double and three home runs for the week.
