National agency helps in search for missing boy

Posted:

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A national agency has joined the search for a Texas boy missing for three weeks.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is aiding in helping locate 11-year-old Joshua Avara. Joshua's father, John Avara, tells us he filed a report with Lubbock Police after his son went missing on March 22.

Avara is from Odessa, but his former wife lives in Lubbock. He believes Joshua could be with her, but says she did not have permission to take him.

If you know the whereabouts of 11-year-old Joshua Avara, you're asked to call Lubbock Police at (806) 741-1000.
