Young child dies after horse accident - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - NewsChannel 11 has confirmed that a small child died after an accident with a horse late Tuesday morning.

A little boy, perhaps as young as five years old, was on a horse and fell. We are told the boy was already medically fragile and so a fall that someone else might have survived proved to be fatal for him.

Officials have not released the name or other official details. The Lubbock County Sheriff's Department is investigating.

The death occurred at the Texas Tech Equestrian Center located northwest of Lubbock.
