LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Tuesday, NewsChannel 11 told you about the FBI dredging a portion of White River in Crosby County, just north of White River Lake.
The FBI dive team, with help from the Lubbock County Sheriff's Department, was searching for a weapon that was used in a Big Spring murder case. Wednesday, we can tell you agents found what they were looking for - parts of a disassembled AK-47 assault rifle.
An AK-47 was used last year in a Big Spring drive by shooting. Federal documents say a member of the Latin Kings street gang fired into a crowd of people, killing two and injuring four. Three Lubbock men were indicted as part of that case.
