Lotto Scam Suspect Caught on Surveillance Tape

Lubbock Police are looking for a woman they say has ripped people off with what's called the "Latin Lotto Scam." In the scam, two Hispanic people tell someone they can't cash a winning lotto ticket because they are not citizens, so they convince their victim to give them money in exchange for the ticket, and then promise to split the winnings. The scam has taken people for as much as $27,000 in Lubbock.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic woman in her 40s. Police say that she has black hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion.
