PLAINVIEW & LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - There was a lot of damage near Plainview Friday afternoon after a train cut through the trailer of a semi. It happened around noon-time near Azteca Milling.
According to the Plainview Daily Herald, the cab barely made it across the tracks before the train came through. Nobody was injured. But the newly loaded sacks of corn masa spilled everywhere including the rain filled ditches.
A few hours later, traffic in east Lubbock was diverted following a train derailment. Railroad officials responded to the 57-hundred block of MLK. The train only consisted of two locomotives and a car, so it did not take long to clear the scene. No part of the train fell over; but the wheels did come off the tracks. No injuries were reported.
