One of "Clovis Eight" pleads guilty to escape

CLOVIS, NM (KCBD) - Nearly eight months ago, eight inmates in the Curry County Detention Center in Clovis escaped through a hole they made in the roof of the facility.

Thursday, one of them, 26-year-old Victor Sotelo, pleaded guilty to a list of charges including escaping. He agreed to serve 10 years in prison. 

Only one of the eight inmates is still on the loose, convicted child killer Edward Salas. There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
