Tri-athletes bring big bucks to Lubbock economy - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Nearly 1,000 triathletes competed Saturday at Buffalo Springs Lake in the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship.  That's good news for the Lubbock economy.

It's estimated that between 3,000 and 4,000 parents, coaches, fans and participants have and will fill local restaurants and hotels, spending about $1-million over the weekend. Competition wrapped up Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
