The study found that kids who eat french fries, candy, and other low nutrition, high calorie junk for lunch on a test day, do better later on that test. This after comparing kids who ate junk for lunch and others who ate healthy before testing at 23 school districts in Virginia.

Turns out the junk food eaters boosted their math scores by 11%. Scientists say this doesn't mean french fries every day are the making of an Einstein, but that the energy boost from glucose or empty calories appears to give kids a short term learning advantage.
