LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock is a great place to live, but now others are taking notice too. Lubbock is now ranked one of the "Best Places in America to Have a Job" by newgeography.com.

Lubbock went from 242nd best to 74th best in just one year. Since Lubbock improved that much, it's now one of the rising stars in the nation according to the online magazine.

Other rising stars are Lafayette, Indiana; Champaign-Urbana, Illinois; Sioux City, Iowa; and Wheeling, West Virginia. A total of 336 cities were considered for the list.
