A wreck in west Lubbock ended only looking much worse than it appeared. Lubbock Police say just before 9:00 a.m. a car drove into the under-carriage of an 18-wheeler's trailer. Police say the car and the semi were both going north on Frankford Ave. The truck began a right turn into Resthaven Cemetery, but the Camry's driver continued straight, getting caught under the trailer. The car was badly damaged, but fortunately, no one was hurt.

Two weeks ago they were close, and Thursday, the Lubbock area United Way announced they reached their biggest goal ever. As of Thursday, United Way has raised more than $4.5 million, or close to $2,000 over the goal. Campaign Chair, Jim Courtney, says the amount raised so far is an all time high for Lubbock's United Way.

On Thursday morning, NewsChannel 11's own Mandy Lawrence took part in this year's Holiday Happening Style Show. Harold's of Lubbock provided all of the models' clothes. Junior League of Lubbock has organized Holiday Happening for 23 years. This year, 125 exhibits are set up for shopping at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. Holiday Happening opened Thursday and runs through Sunday.
