Learn more about the Texas Tech President David Schmidly.
NewsChannel 11 has learned that Texas Tech President David Schmidly has been approached about the Presidency and Chief Executive Officer position at Oklahoma State University.
Furthermore, a source tells us that Dr. Schmidly traveled to Oklahoma to meet with officials about the position and the source says O.S.U. is very interested.
NewsChannel 11 attempted to contact Dr. Schmidly Thursday night, but a Tech official said he is out of town and unavailable for comment. O.S.U. began their search for a new president in July, after James Halligan announced his retirement. Dr. Schmidly has been President of Tech since August of 2000.
