LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - An update on the Lubbock police officer who is accused of drinking and driving.
Michael Furlow had been on paid leave since March 23rd. Furlow was off duty in late March when he crashed his pickup into a guard rail along the access road of Interstate 27, near 66th Street.
Friday, we learn that Furlow has gone from paid administrative leave to unpaid leave. If Furlow is convicted of DWI, he could lose his peace officer's license which means he would not be able to be a police officer anywhere in Texas.
