Generous viewer replaces Lubbock man's stolen wheelchair

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A follow up with some good news about a bad situation we first told you about on NewsChannel 11 at 6.

Friday, Dale Rogers pleaded for the thief who took the electric wheelchair right out of his yard Thursday to please bring it back. Well, less than an hour after we aired Dale's story, a very generous viewer brought him a new wheelchair.

When Betty and Charlie Lemons saw Dale's story, they loaded up her father's old motorized wheelchair and headed straight to the Hickory Tree Apartments to find Dale. "This was my dad's and we felt like it needed to be put to use again and I wanted him to have it," said Betty Lemons. "Words can't express - I thank ya'll so much so much," replied Dale.

Since the story aired, we had many calls offering Dale a wheelchair.
