Prices at the pump have dropped more than a nickel nationwide over the past two weeks. That is the largest two-week decline in about a year. The average cost for gas in the United States is $1.44 a gallon. Analysts say the main reasons for the price plunge are lower oil costs and higher gasoline supplies.
Here in Lubbock the price of gas is running about $1.20 a gallon as of 11/24/02.
