Severe Weather Possible Later Today

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The cloudy, cool morning will delay local thunderstorm development. However, near the NM-TX state line storm development is likely by late afternoon. Large hail, isolated tornados will be possible.

On the South Plains storms are likely this evening, but especially overnight, and particularly in the Lubbock-Clovis-Amarillo-Childress area. The primary threat will again be large hail, but isolated tornados will be possible in the unstable, moisture rich atmosphere.

We will continue monitoring the situation throughout the day. If severe weather develops, get the latest on the threat on NewsChannel 11 and here at kcbd.com.
