LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Heart disease is still the number one killer in women. The American Heart Association adds that in more than half the cases, there are no symptoms.
Lubbock Cardiologist Dr. Jason Bradley a Cardiologist was our guest on Wednesday's HealthWise at 5, and gave this advice to be mindful of. He suggests, "If you have risk factors for heart disease like: high blood pressure, diabetes, if you smoke, or have high cholesterol, then you should be aware that if you start to have symptoms that are new to you, they could be something that needs to be checked out."
The American Heart Association's Annual "Go Red for Women" Luncheon is set for May 7th at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. There will be health screenings available, exhibits and much more. To reserve your spot for lunch, call (806) 748-2500.
