Student Survey Polls Voters About Governor's Race

The election is over, but new numbers are in that reveal how voters feel about the Texas Governor's race.

A group of Texas Tech Political Science students started a statewide survey one day after the November 5th election. The survey focused on the negative ads and the candidates dodging key election issues.

Here's a brief overview of the survey:

  • One in four people feel neither candidate talked about his goals in office.
  • One in three said the candidates did not talk about things that were important to citizens like them.
  • And more than half felt the campaigns were negative.
