PLAINVIEW, TX (KCBD) - Top-ranked Lubbock Christian won the deciding game of its three-game series with #23 Wayland Baptist, 9-6, Friday evening at Wilder Field.
Will Stramp had two hits, including a two-run homer, and three RBI to lead the Chaps.
The Pioneers were paced by Josh Lucas who was 3-for-3 with a two-run homer. Eddie Allen also went deep for WBU, hitting a three-run shot in the fifth that made it 8-5.
Tanner Vickers got the win on a staff day for LCU. The junior gave up two unearned runs on four hits in four innings. Jakob Cunningham came on with two on and nobody out in the eighth to pick up his fifth save of the season.
Todd Jeffress got the loss for Wayland to fall to 5-5 on the season.
