Comic Book Expo brings Lubbockites to the Art Festival

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The 31st annual Lubbock Arts Festival started Friday, and it will continue through Sunday. Saturday the festival had a special exhibit upstairs at the Civic Center. Superwomen, Spiderman, and even Batman had many comic book fanatics out in large numbers at the Comic Book Expo this afternoon.

"We've had an amazing turn out. Last year we had almost 1,000 people, but this time it looks like we're going to pass that considerably and that's because of the arts festival and they've helped us out a lot," said local comic book artist, Will Terrell.

The Comic Book Expo ends at 8:00 Saturday night. If you are not able to make it you can look for a comic book convention in November at the Lubbock Science Spectrum.
