Lubbock mom on trial - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Jury selection for the trial of a Lubbock mother charged with 11 counts of child endangerment and injury to a child begins Monday.

Gloria Ramirez 28, was 4 months pregnant when she delivered a stillborn baby inside her home on Avenue L in July of 2007. Ramirez put the fetus in a baby wipe box and kept it in her refrigerator. Authorities came to the home that same day, when the family called about a funeral home to ask about a casket for the fetus. Investigators say the home was filthy and rat-infested.

Ramirez's husband, Anthony Moya faces the same charges. His trial is expected to start later this month. Meanwhile, Ramirez is just a month away from delivering another child, which will be her tenth.
