LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - As of Sunday night, there are no confirmed cases of swine flu or H1-N1 virus in Lubbock.
As of Friday night the city had tested 76 samples for potential swine flu - all are negative. And with Lubbock testing a 41-county area, the city says tests should only be done if it is truly needed. Testing resources are scarce statewide.
The main difference you'll notice between Swine Flu and other forms of the flu is a sudden onset of fever to more than 101 degrees.
Meanwhile, Carlsbad, New Mexico schools, about a 3 hour drive from Lubbock, are shut down from now until May 10th. Carlsbad has 14 "probable" cases of Swine Flu.
