LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - There is a deadline for those of you struggling to pay Lubbock's new higher water rates. We've been telling you for quite some time that the city approved low-income assistance for water bills to coincide with a steep water rate increase.

 The city reminds us that the deadline to sign up is June 15th and program will end exactly one year later on June 15th 2010. For more information or to sign up call the city's community development department by dialing 3-1-1 or by calling (806) 775-2291.
