Lady Chaps Have Eight All-Sac Members, and the SAC Coach of the Year

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 4, 2009) - The Sooner Athletic Conference announced their All-Conference Softball Team members Monday and Lubbock Christian University matched Oklahoma City University with a high of five players on the First Team list.  The SAC also awarded head coach Shanon Hays the Sooner Athletic Conference Coach of the Year award for a second consecutive season.

The Lady Chaps ended up with eight total players on the First and Second Teams, which is a conference high.  First Team members included Ginalee Davis (SS), Kelly Griego (P/DH), Alyssa Gutierrez (P), Raquel Hawkins (IF), and Honda Rodriguez (2B).  Second Team recipients included Jade Espinoza, Sabby Hernandez, and Amanda Parsons.
