LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A weekend ATV accident leaves a Monterey High School football player paralyzed from the waist down. Cole Walker Headrick, 16, was riding a 4-wheeler up a steep river bed in Crosby County Sunday afternoon when it flipped over on top of him.
Aerocare flew Headrick to Covenant Medical Center with a spinal cord injury, which caused the paralysis. Headrick's mother tells us the Monterey junior is a member of the National Honor Society, an avid hunter and a 4-wheeler enthusiast.
