LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Late Tuesday afternoon, Lubbock Police revealed the autopsy results detailing Lee Beck's cause of death. Preliminary reports indicate it was a suicide.
The 49 year-old businessman was found in his Central Lubbock home Monday afternoon.
Investigators say Beck suffered at least one gun shot wound and lacerations. He was found around 4:00 p.m. Monday inside his house in the 3200 block of 67th Street. He was alive, but unresponsive. EMS transported Beck to University Medical Center, where he later died.
Neighbors say Beck was always talkative, funny and had a colorful personality. They also say he had recently lost his business.
"Everyone that I talked to had the same reaction, they were just shocked, and we're just hoping we can find out what exactly happened," said Beck's neighbor Angela Brown.
