LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock jury only deliberated for 32 minutes, before they returned with a verdict in the child endangerment trial of Gloria Ramirez.
The 29-year-old has been found guilty of six counts of child endangerment and one count of injury to a child after authorities found her seven children living in filthy conditions in July of 2007. Ramirez' husband, Anthony Moya, is facing similar charges.
For nearly two days jurors saw photographs from inside the home at 2110 Ave L, but Wednesday they had the chance to hear from one witness what it was like to live inside the walls of that house. Gloria Ramirez' 11-year-old daughter took the stand against her mother and gave jurors a detailed account of what her responsibilities were.
Ramirez' husband, Anthony Moya, is facing similar charges. His trial is expected sometime later this month.
