Gloria Ramirez sentenced to the maximum

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock jury has passsed judgement on the 29-year-old mother guilty of 6 counts of child endangerment and one count of injury to a child.

Gloria Ramirez will serve 10 years for injury to a child, and 2 years for each count of child endangerment, plus a fine. The sentences will be served concurrently.

After three days of testimony, it took the the jury about 30 minutes Thursday to find Ramirez guilty on all seven counts. She is due to deliver her tenth child June 4th. CPS told the court that they plan on opening a new case file for the newborn based on Ramirez' history. 

Anthony Moya, Ramirez's common-law husband, was in the courtroom when the guilty verdict was announced, however he was not in the courtroom at the time of sentencing. He is charged with similar counts as Ramirez. His trial date is set for later this month.
