LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Losing your job may do more than just make you feel sick at your stomach; it could make you physically ill. A Harvard study finds those who lost their jobs because of downsizing or a company closure were much more likely to develop some kind of health condition like high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke and diabetes, even among those without a pre-existing health issues. Not that you need another thing to worry about, but if you are hitting the streets to look for a new job, researchers say be sure to take the time to see your doctor first to help you stay healthy while you're looking.
