Man Assaulted at North Lubbock Motel

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The search continues for three suspects accused of beating a man unconscious in a north Lubbock parking lot.

A security guard at the Sunset Motel at 2305 Clovis Rd. discovered 55-year-old Danny Mahaffery lying on the ground just before 5 a.m. Saturday morning. Police say Mahaffery had been badly beaten and suffered serious head injuries. EMS took him to University Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition at last report.

Investigators say three young black men assaulted Mahaffery in the motel parking lot, and then fled the scene before he was found. If you have any information about this incident please call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.
