Motel assault victim now improving - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The man who was beaten unconscious in a Lubbock parking lot Saturday morning is improving.  Danny Mahaffery has been upgraded from critical to serious condition.  A security guard at the Sunset Motel found the badly beaten 55-year-old lying on the ground.

Police say Mahaffery suffered serious head injuries and was taken to UMC.  Investigators say three young black men fled the scene.  If you have any information about this incident please call Crime Line at 741-1000.
