Search for suspects continues in a home invasion/kidnapping in West Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The investigation continues into a home invasion and kidnapping in West Lubbock.

Police say two men, armed with a gun, broke into an apartment at Hunter's Way in the 5500 block of 56th Street, around 10:50 p.m. Monday.

The suspects tied up the victim's husband and then took her away in her Hummer H3.

Around 11:30 p.m., the suspects abandoned the woman and her vehicle in Northeast Lubbock County, and then left in another vehicle.

The kidnapped woman drove to a nearby home in the 300 block of North FM 1729 and called the Sheriff's Department.

She was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The suspects are described as two black males with red bandanas on their faces. One is about 5' 8" and 215lbs., wearing blue baggy jeans and a black T-shirt. The second suspect is about 6'2", 240lbs., wearing blue baggy pants and a white tank top.
