The child abuse case of a former Lubbock daycare owner may end with a plea bargain. Two weeks ago the aggravated sexual assault trial of Luther Parker Hinesly ended with a hung jury. Now, family members of the alleged victims are lobbying for a plea bargain which would prevent Hinesly from ever operating a child care center again.
According to sources, the state is currently considering a plea which would allow Hinesly to resume his daycare business after a period of probation.
