Breaking News: UPDATED - One dead in Lubbock homicide

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock police and homicide detectives are on the scene of a deadly shooting in Northeast Lubbock.

Police say two people were shot during an altercation in the 2400 block of East 8th Street.

The driver, 34-year-old Trent Johnson drove to a home in the 1700 block of East Cornell, where he knocked on the door and asked for help before collapsing.

He was taken to UMC with gunshot wounds to the face and torso. He is listed in critical condition.

His passenger, a white female, was found dead in the car. Her name has not yet been released. The description of the suspect has also not been released.
