Lubbock neighborhood blocked off as police look for burglary suspects

Posted:

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Police and the DPS helicopters joined forces in Central Lubbock Thursday afternoon. The area around 39th to 45th street, on both sides of Slide Road were blocked off. This all began when officers responded to a call about a burglary in progress just after four o'clock. The suspects entered through the alley, and kicked in the back door of a home. All three suspects fled out the front door, but two were quickly taken into custody; but a third man is still on the loose.

"You don't usually see people running behind a house and take off running, its kind of weird and it looked suspicious to me," says a neighbor who witnessed the crime.

Police continue to look for the third suspect. He's described as a slender black man, about six feet tall, with a light complexion. He is approximately 21 years of age, and was last seen wearing a white tank top and blue knee-length shorts.
