Ashlen Albus is a 17 year old senior at Whitharral High School and the daughter of Anthony and Amie Albus. She is the President of the National Honor Society, a member of Student Council, the Vice-President of the Whitharral 4-H club, and is the 3rd-Vice President of District 2 4-H council. She has participated in cross country, basketball, and track all four years of high school, advancing to the State Basketball Tournament her junior and senior year, as well as the State Track Meet her sophomore, junior, and senior year in the long and triple jump. She advanced to the Octo-finals in State UIL C-X Debate during her senior year, and also qualified for the Regional UIL Academic Meet the last four years in several events, including Calculator Applications, Number Sense, and Informative Speaking. Ashlen plans on attending South Plains College to begin pursuing a career in Physical Therapy. She is also going to be a walk-on for the SPC track team, and compete as a heptathlete.
